Works as a standard Sabrent USBSwitcher with the modification to allow users to Switch between the two devices by using a command via an extra USB cable (supplied)

 

Instructions

BAUDRATE 115200 8NO

Share one usb device, between two computers, use a serial message “SWITCH” to switch between the two computers.
Save the name of the “USB Serial – USB Switcher” in the EEPROM Use “SAVE/r/nNAMEofDEVICE/r/n
Use “FIND” to read back the device name.

My Moto is automate everything, So the way I used it was:

Background: To upgrade my TV a usb pen has to be attached with a my lastest upgrade file.
Usage: I share one usb pen between a computer and a TV (I have a remote connection to the computer). First I remote into the computer, then I download a bin file and copied onto the usb stick. Still remoted into the computer I had already installed a free program called Hercules, connect to the usb switcher via the COM port and type and send the SWITCH command this moves the usb pen to the TV. as a side note I use a APC switch to power cycle the TV which initiates the upgrade. Once the upgrade is done I SWITCH the usb stick back to the computer.
